We thirst for God's presence

Restoration House is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We thirst for God's presence and to know more of Him through private and public worship, the Word, and Prayer.

We hold firmly to the core mission and vision of the RCCG founded by Pa Josiah Akindayomi, with Pastor E.A Adeboye as the General Overseer which is to reach the whole world with the gospel of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God who died to redeem us from our sins, being part of God’s end time church that Christ would meet at his second coming, living a holy, sinless life with heaven as our goal taking as many people along with us achieving this goal through church planting and other evangelistic efforts.

Our Story

The vision for the establishment of RCCG Restoration House Waterloo directly came from the vision of the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, to plant churches all over the world, a vision which Pastor Amos Oladimeji and his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Esther Oladimeji are already part of, as pastors in RCCG since 1997; enabling them to have lead the establishment of 15 RCCG Parishes and as pioneer Pastors in three.

Guidance to come for gospel work in Canada began to form, following the presentation of Pastor James Fadel in Redemption Camp in 2008, where an expression of the need for Pastors in North America was made. Movement to establish the Parish received a boost when the opportunity came through the instrumentation of Pastor Olayinka Dada of RCCG, Restoration House, Hamilton who worked with RCCG, Lagos Province 38 to guide and help the formation of the Parish.

RCCG, Restoration House. Waterloo started as a house fellowship on March 31, 2013 in the basement of Brother & Deaconess Vincent Thomas. The Parish was inaugurated by Pastor David Adeosun of RCCG Habitation of Peace and Pastor Sanjo Arisekola of RCCG Potter’s House, Kitchener in the presence of a witness of about twelve persons.

The first Sunday morning service was at the University Chapel, St Paul’s College, University of Waterloo in May 2013 as the Lord added able and steady hands to the Church. The first set of ministers were Brother and Sister Thomas, Brother and Sister Ikpotokin and also, Brother and Sister Ogunmodede. Later on, these leaders were complemented with a Choir leader, Brother Joshua Kemka. This core group built the Church from the scratch with the help of God and great support of the RCCG Habitation of Peach Guelph. To God be all the glory!
